1. General Terms
These Terms & Conditions govern registration, purchase, participation, and access to educational trainings, continuing education programs, workshops, webinars, digital products, recorded courses, resource guides, and related offerings provided by Kara Cruz Psychotherapy & Wellness, including Kara Cruz Training & Consultation.
By purchasing, registering for, or accessing an offering, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Participants must be at least 18 years old.
We reserve the right to update these terms. Changes will be reflected in the revision date above.
2. Continuing Education & Professional Training
Our educational offerings are designed for psychotherapists, mental health professionals, and other helping professionals.
Continuing education (CE) credit is available only for programs explicitly designated as CE-eligible.
Each CE-eligible program will identify its learning objectives, target audience, instructional format, duration, credit hours, and applicable approval information.
CE credit is not guaranteed for all offerings. Workshops not specifically identified as CE-eligible do not award continuing education credit.
Participants seeking CE credit must fulfill all applicable requirements, which may include:
Attendance and participation for the required instructional time.
Completion of attendance verification procedures.
Submission of required course evaluations.
Successful completion of applicable learning assessments for recorded or self-study courses.
Partial attendance does not qualify for full CE credit unless otherwise expressly permitted by applicable approval requirements.
Certificates will be issued after all applicable completion requirements are satisfied.
Professional licensing boards determine whether CE credits meet their individual renewal requirements. Participants are responsible for verifying eligibility with their licensing boards.
No offering should be interpreted as NBCC-approved unless that approval is explicitly and accurately stated in its individual program description.
3. Registration & Payment
Full payment is required at registration unless another arrangement is expressly offered.
Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers, including Stripe and other authorized processors.
Prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise indicated.
Promotional pricing, early-bird discounts, and special offers are valid only during the advertised promotional period. Retroactive price adjustments are not provided.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Refund requests for live trainings, workshops, and webinars must be submitted in writing at least 30 days before the scheduled event.
Requests must be emailed to [email protected] and include the participant's name, event title, date, and reason for cancellation.
Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days and issued to the original payment method.
Payment Processing Fees: A 3% payment processing fee will be deducted from approved participant-initiated refunds for purchases made through Stripe or other applicable credit card processors, to the extent permitted by law. This fee is intended to offset nonrefundable transaction processing costs.
Requests received after the cancellation deadline are nonrefundable, except where required by law.
At our discretion, participants may be offered a transfer to another eligible training or access to a recorded workshop instead of a refund.
Prerecorded, self-study, and on-demand purchases are nonrefundable, except where required by law.
Refund requests submitted by telephone, text message, or social media will not be accepted.
5. Event Cancellation or Changes
If Kara Cruz Psychotherapy & Wellness cancels a scheduled event, registrants will be offered a full refund, without deduction of payment processing fees, or the option to transfer their registration to another eligible offering.
We reserve the right to modify event dates, times, presenters, or delivery formats when reasonably necessary.
Participants will be notified of material changes as soon as reasonably possible.
If a material change prevents participation, registrants may contact us to discuss available refund or transfer options.
6. Technology & Online Participation
Participants are responsible for maintaining a functioning internet connection, compatible equipment, and access to the designated online training platform.
Refunds are not provided for individual technology difficulties, including internet outages, equipment malfunctions, or participant-side access issues, except where required by law.
If significant technology problems occur on the provider's end, we may offer rescheduled access, a recording, credit, or a refund as appropriate.
7. Recordings & Replay Access
Virtual trainings, webinars, and workshops may be recorded for educational and replay purposes.
Participants will be informed when recording is taking place.
Participant names, voices, or images may appear in recordings when individuals voluntarily participate using audio or video.
Participants who prefer not to appear in recordings are encouraged to keep their cameras off and use available private communication options.
Recorded workshop access is generally available for up to 365 days following the live event, unless otherwise specified in the individual offering.
Recordings are intended for individual registrant use and may not be shared, reproduced, or distributed.
Access to a recorded replay does not automatically qualify a participant for continuing education credit. Recorded CE offerings may have separate assessment and completion requirements.
8. Workbooks, Resource Guides & Bonus Materials
Registration may include downloadable workbooks, clinical checklists, worksheets, resource guides, templates, or other educational materials.
These resources are provided for the individual registrant's educational and professional reference use.
Certain resource guides are maintained as living documents and may be updated periodically with new research, tools, and recommendations.
When applicable, participants will receive a live link to access updated versions. Continued access to externally hosted materials may depend on platform availability.
Bonus materials, consultations, or promotional offerings may have separate expiration dates or eligibility requirements, which will be disclosed with the individual offer.
9. Intellectual Property & Copyright
All original presentations, recordings, training materials, workbooks, worksheets, checklists, templates, and other educational content are owned by Kara Cruz Psychotherapy & Wellness or their respective copyright holders.
Registration grants a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license for individual educational and professional reference use.
Participants may download or print materials for their own use where permitted.
Materials may not be sold, reproduced for distribution, shared with nonregistrants, uploaded to public platforms, or incorporated into other commercial training products without prior written permission.
10. Confidentiality & Professional Conduct
Participants are expected to maintain professional standards during all educational events.
Identifying client information, protected health information, and confidential clinical records must not be disclosed during training discussions, exercises, or question-and-answer sessions.
Case examples should be appropriately de-identified.
Participants are responsible for protecting the confidentiality of their own professional and clinical information.
Training participation does not establish a therapist-client, supervisor-supervisee, or other clinical treatment relationship.

Accommodation requests will be reviewed individually, and reasonable efforts will be made to support access and participation.

Please include your name, event title, date, description of the concern, and requested resolution.
Complaints will be acknowledged within five business days and reviewed in a timely manner.

Participants may request reconsideration of a proposed resolution by responding in writing.
13. Educational & Professional Disclaimer
All trainings, workshops, and related materials are provided for educational and professional development purposes.
Content does not constitute individualized psychotherapy, clinical supervision, legal advice, medical advice, or financial consultation.
Participants are responsible for applying information within their professional scope of practice and in accordance with applicable laws, ethical standards, and licensing requirements.
Although reasonable efforts are made to provide accurate and current information, research, clinical guidelines, and professional standards may change.
